Buying the Votes

Out of the total people that were asked, "Would you sell your permenant right to vote? And if so, for how much," the results were surprisingly high. I'm sort of shell shocked that majority of the people were polled would trade their vote in for money. Even thought this is obiviously not possible, but just imagine that there was no law for buying out votes. Look at all the people in the nation of America who would be misrepresented. Look at how the government would be run today. Look at the totalitarianism that would arise because of the people who take their vote for granted. I think that people who would trade their permenant vote for money is bad deal. Sure your living for today and not tomorrow's satifaction, but wait until the time arises when you have a confliction with the government taxing heavily on your expensive luxuries. Then what are you going to do? You sold your vote so you have no say in the government. In conclusion my opinion to take the money and run is a terrible trade in the long run. Every vote counts. Prime example, Election of 2004.
